Rayner Institute was god sent to me. I was going through a very challenging time in my life and I wanted to explore the world of life coaching. As I did my google search, over 200 institutes showed up and I didn’t know which one to pick. I visited lots of websites but there was something about the Rayner website that resonated with me. I signed up for the ACC program 9 months ago, and I have not looked back. Having successfully completed my ACC & PCC, I have decided to come back and attend the PCC classes once more. The reason for this is that I cannot imagine being away for too long as Rayner Institute is now home to me. Mark is truly a wonderful man with a profound vision for healing. Every class I have attended, every conversation with Mark- has always left me feeling healed, whole and complete. The discussions in class, hearing everyone’s insights, meeting other classmates from all over the world, this has been a wholesome experience that has expanded my awareness and broadened my horizons as a person.
 
My brain is changing and so are my emotions and perceptions about life and myself. I have never felt more grounded and at peace as I feel now. And I can say without hesitation that the entire credit for this goes to Rayner Institute. Mark has this unique way to set a safe space and touch your heart in such a deep and profound way that life cannot be the same again. I can read the class notes over and over and not get tired or bored. This has been one of the most precious and sacred experiences of my life up until now. Anyone looking to be a life coach, or even just cater to their own mental health and well being I strongly suggest- do at least one program from here, and I can guarantee that life will never be the same again. My experience at Rayner's Institute have been truly eye opening and life changing. I have learned not only about coaching, but also so much about myself.

  More than a Checkmark 
When I came to the Rayner Institute, it was only to fulfill an ICF requirement. It was to get coach specific training, so I could apply for my ICF accreditation. I had hundreds of hours as a professional coach experience, so I didn't need to learn anything I was only there for a checkmark. 
It was after the first class with Mark Rayner that had me believe there was something different about this guy and the training. There was something really powerful about the experience that I couldn't identify. Mark is the most real and authentic person I had ever met. His style of teaching and approach using deep wisdom, humor, firm kindness, and a SAFE environment changed my life. The model he teaches has changed the way I coach. Significant and Profound
Warning! 
My endorsement is long but worth the read. 

When I started my search for professional coach training, I discussed my desire to become a coach with my husband.  I told him I wanted to make a real difference in the world and needed more fulfillment in my life from what I was doing as an engineer.  He was not on board because of our already busy lives and the additional stress the class put on our finances. We agreed to take one class for now and see if this type of training has the value it claims to have.  I started my training in the Fall and planned on taking the first class called the Associate Certified Coach training (ACC). Every class was significant and profound in my own life. I would share the material with my husband and teenage children. After about three weeks in, my husband took on all the duties of cooking and dishes before the class starts so I would be ready for class. His encouragement grew as the classes went on, so I asked him why the change of heart. He said he felt closer and more in love with me since I started the training. This program changed our lives, and as the school teaches, we were safer, more okay, and felt more enough in our marriage. My children also started using the material. It changed their lives at school and with their friends.
 I finished the 10-week program that flew by as I looked forward to the two classes per week. I understood there were two other classes I could take, called the PCC and MCC. I was always told that all I needed to be a professional coach was the first class called ACC. There was never any pressure to take any additional courses. In my past, I have taken training from other organizations that pressured me to feel that I was not enough if I didn't take all the training that was offered. 

After my ACC training was complete, I understood that the ACC class was all I needed and did feel ready to go into the world and coach. However, I wanted to know more about the Self Actualized awareness model and study it deeper. I also wanted to learn the Rayner Creation Model. So I enrolled for the second class, and that ten-week program also flew by as I looked forward to my time. Again this class was significant and profound in ways I would never imagine. I would say it was many times more profound than the first program.
I went on and took the third class, the Master Coach certification, and this was also a life-changer where it all comes together in significant ways. 

The cost of the training was a fraction of what I have paid for other programs, not to mention the life-changing material and experience.

Healing Wounded Warriors

To whom it may concern, 
I have learned over the years that the best teachers are the ones that teach from experience and not the ones that preach from a book. And in my opinion, the Rayner Institute was precisely that - never preaching but drawing from real experience what worked in real life with real people. Throughout the training, we learned to become more aware of how lived experiences influence how people see the world, how it shapes their individual truth and their idea of what they’re capable of in our life. And how you as a coach - by asking the right questions - can help your clients uncover and question their truths and remove their mental roadblocks so they can achieve their goals. Or as Mark Rayner often said, “to be the Sherpa that accompanies and supports the client to climb their own Mount Everest”, but never carry them up the mountain.

There is a proverb that says, don’t judge a book by its cover, but from the fellow coaches that I have met both at work and outside of work, that’s exactly how people chose an education program. In the absence of personal experience with a school, they tend to look for labels instead of substance because, frankly, it is hard to judge an education program if you haven’t attended it yourself. Since you’re investing a lot of money for coach training, you want a guaranteed return, and thus a big reputation seems like a safe bet.
The Rayner Institute certainly deserves a reputation as big as institutes like the CTI, but back in 2016, that wasn’t (yet) the case. But fortunately, Mr. Rayner had strong points that made it my number one choice. Not only did the online classroom system allow us to follow class despite my busy work travel schedule, but also did we receive an education with lots of practical training. In our live training sessions, we often coached each other; we learned how to actively listen and how to unleash the power of Mark Rayner’s “Safe, ok and enough” principle in a coaching conversation. It means that whenever people feel “safe, ok and enough,” they are ready to go out in the world and create what they want, not because they need to fill a void or succumb to some external pressure but because their goal is truly in line with their values.  

I have seen my coaching clients experience “Aha-moments” when realizing that feeling “safe, ok and enough” made things possible for them and I have also experienced it myself when being coached by classmates or by Mark Rayner himself. The most memorable moment for me was when being coached by Mark for an upcoming job interview for a high-profile job at Facebook that I felt anxious and stressed about because of my perceived lack of competence and skills. I left that conversation feeling completely at ease with myself like never before. Funnily enough, not only did I get the job I interviewed for, I was also able to attend a party that same night with a feeling of ease and happiness when just hours earlier I was torn by feelings of anxiousness and obsessed with the idea that I needed “the perfect outfit and hair” for otherwise, I did not want to leave the house. 

And that is what the training at the Rayner Institute is all about. Realizing that we as people will not be content when we chose to do things to validate our insecurities, but instead realize what we need to know about ourselves and the world to truly feel “safe, ok and enough” so we can pursue our goals for the sake of achieving them and not for the sake of compensating insecurities. When you go to learn coaching with the Rayner Institute, or you are being coached by Mark, you will see yourself and others transform because you’ll be able to shine your light and go out into the world and create what you want as yourself.

This training was the most significant thing I have ever done in my life
Not sure what to say except the training was the most significant thing I have ever done in my life. I read the endorsements on the website before taking the program and to me they seemed too good to be true. They also referred to being taught by the founder Mark Rayner. When I started my training I had a different teacher and was somewhat disappointed. Then after the first class I  could not imagine a better or more qualified teacher in James. After taking the program I can say the endorsements are accurate and true. I would repeat all the words on the endorsement page.

Now I coach and deep life-changing conversation that is rooted in clarity of the foundation. 
I was a professional coach before taking the training with the Rayner Institute. The reason I took the training was I needed additional hours for my PCC certification with the ICF. I started the training thinking I had nothing to learn and was a very polished coach, only requiring more training hours to qualify for my PCC certification. I thought I would lay back in the weeds and not be noticed and breeze through the class. Well, that didn't last long in the small classroom of six students. It turns out Mark Rayner created the school with small classes, so the students get the best experience, and if the class size exceeds eight students, he starts another classroom. After about three weeks, I was a different coach, and after I was done with the training, I was embarrassed about how I was coaching in the past. I contacted most of my past clients and coached them again. They all thanked me and added it was a life-changing conversation. Before this training, I coached on the surface, trying to fix people's problems in a somewhat confusing conversation.
